Enterprise Marine Services, “EMS” business segment is based in Houma, LA and primarily consists of inland push boats and barges with a small fleet of offshore tugs and barges. EMS owns dockside fleeting facilities located in Houma, LA, Bourg, LA, Amelia, LA and on the Houston Ship Channel in Channelview, TX.

The 200 vessel fleet consists of double-hulled barges and tugs that carry petroleum and petrochemical products for Enterprise Products and various third parties. EMS owns a shipyard maintenance and repair facility in Houma, LA equipped with a dry dock and a gas-free plant for tug and barge repairs. The seventy-eight acre tract is located at the intersection of the Intracoastal Canal and the Houma Navigational Canal, that houses administrative, mechanical, electrical and carpentry shops for marine vessel support and operations. The facility is equipped with warehousing for spare parts and supplies, and a fleet of crew change vehicles to support daily marine operations.

EMS will add four new tugs to its fleet in 2011 and nine new double-hulled barges by the end of 2012.
